We
have a full line of saving plans for you to choose from.
Whether it is a regular savings account, a higher yielding money
market account, or an IRA, we are sure we can meet your savings
requirements.
The Basic
Savings Account
The Basic Savings Account
is designed for the customer that wants easy access to
their money while earning interest. Maintain a minimum balance
of $100 at all times and it’s free. Otherwise a maintenance fee
of $3 per quarter will apply.
The Money Market Account
This account offers rates that grow with your balance through a
tiered rate structure, but still allows you to have convenient
access to your money. Withdrawals can be made at any time in
person, from our ATM, or by telephone or online transfer.
Transfers from a Money Market
Account to another
account or to third parties by preauthorized, automatic, or
telephone or online transfer are limited to six per statement
cycle with no more than three by check, draft, debit card, or
similar order to third parties.
A
maintenance fee of $5 per month will apply unless a minimum
balance of $2,500 is maintained.
The IRA - Individual Retirement Account
IRAs are great savings tools due to the special laws governing
their taxation. Traditional IRAs are generally not taxed until
they are distributed. Earnings on Roth and Education IRAs
(Coverdell Education Savings Accounts) are generally not subject
to federal taxes. Contributions to Traditional IRAs may be tax
deductible. These tax advantages can result in larger savings
accumulations over time when compared to ordinary savings
products.
